About The Materials
Ohio Sandstone is a fine-grained sandstone found in the Scioto Formation located in Southern Ohio. It’s tight grain structure and clean appearance distinguishes it from other fabricated sandstones. Ohio Sandstone is easily carved for custom detailing and keeps a crisp detail edge. The use of Ohio Sandstone in garden benches provides a detailed garden bench that will last for generations.
About The Design
Our Sunset Sandstone Bench has a sawn seat that allows room for two people to sit comfortably. The overall height of 20” is one of the tallest stone bench offered on today’s market and adds to the overall grandeur of the stone bench. Skillfully and artistically crafted, the Sunset Sandstone Bench has hand-chiseled edges which add to the naturally rustic design. As the name implies, the sandstone used for the benches varies in color as with all sunsets making our bench even more unique and full of character.
About The Finish
The Chiseled edges are created by breaking the stone with a hammer and chisel. This process provides a very rough surface or a slightly irregular finish. The chiseled finish adds to the organic look of our Sunset Sandstone Bench .
