2008 is the year we proudly introduce a newly designed and re-engineered kitchen island work center. We have combined a sugar maple top with an elegant cherry base. The unique and functional top work surface has a gentle rim on three sides to prevent crumbs or other run away food items from rolling to the floor. As you would expect from J.K. Adams, the table is made by hand, in Dorset, Vermont, where we use the same mortise and tenon construction technique old world craftsmen have employed for centuries. The solid wood dovetail drawer has a stainless pull and rests on European glides which close automatically when the drawer is gently nudged. An adjustable foot on each leg allows the table to be leveled on uneven floors insuring a solid stance without rock or wobble. The slatted lower shelf gives lots of extra storage and the entire table has been hand rubbed with three coats of finish. Our table is ready to assemble in minutes, without tools. We mean it, without tools.
