About the Materials and Construction
Insulative PVC Compound is a classification of plastic resin made from chlorine and ethylene. The use of PVC Compounds in commercial applications produces matting that prevents electrical shock, is durable, resistant to moisture and is suitable for heavy foot traffic. The Switchboard Matting from NoTrax® is formulated to provide insulation from being grounded thus preventing electrical shock and are a must have in front of high voltage boxes, electrical fuse boxes or transformers. For optimum performance and safety it is highly recommended that mats be replaced every 12 months. No Trax® Switchboard Matting insulative PVC compound provides you with a commercial matting that requires standard cleaning (sweeping), saving your business time and money. while still providing you with effective matting that gives your employees safety and comfort on the job.
About the NoTrax® Material Quality Testing
As members of the National Safety Council and Material Handling Industry of American NoTrax® floor matting is subject to testing by independent laboratories prior to their introduction to the market. Each square foot of the Switchboard matting offered by NoTrax® is tested in conformance with ANSI/ASTM D-178 Specifications and meets or exceeds the standard testing. The Type 2 Compound-polyvinyl chloride tests for flexibility of product through normal temperature ranges. The Class 2 Di-electric strength and the Proof test of the Switchboard Matting were rated at 30,000 and 20,000 volts respectively while the recommended maximum usage was rate at 17,000 volts. It is NoTrax® continued emphasis on integrity and fair business practices that assures you of the safety, quality and commitment behind every commercial matting product manufactured and purchased.
