The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has several requirements for lockers. For example, if a person needs to use the locker bottom, it must be 9" off the floor or a shelf must be installed a minimum of 9" off the floor. Other requirements include recessed handles, latching systems and upper shelf locations no higher than 48” from the floor.
About Penco® ADA Lockers
The Penco lockers that comply with ADA requirements are the 60” and 72” Single tier lockers with the recessed handle and the 3 point latch. The shelf and the locker bottom, if needed, will require a small modification in the field. The 72” Double tier locker with the recessed handle and 2 point latch are also ADA compliant if the lower tier is used.
About Penco® ADA Label
All Penco® ADA Labels are pressure sensitive stickers. They shipped loose for field application.
