About The Design
The Tijeras Agua Fria Series Rain Barrel with its cylindrical design is available in a 55, 100, 200 (2 styles available) or 360 gallon size to meet your collection needs. The Cylindrical design with vertical parallel sides is highly advantageous in any area that experiences freezing weather. The vertical parallel sides offer less resistance to expanding ice than constricting shapes such as a barrel shape. The cylindrical shape also allows very high hoop strength for the quantity of resins used, this is the reason that all large tanks are round. Available in 13 solid or speckled colors , 4 stone finishes and your choice of three covers, the seamless construction is completely recyclable and resistant to mosquitoes.
About The Materials
Each barrel is made of thick food grade polyethylene resins. The Tijeras Agua Fria Series Rain Barrels are manufactured and assembled in the USA and come in multiple sizes to best suit your need. Food Grade polyethylene is an extremely durable plastic that is ideal for outdoor products because of its resistance to fading and longevity. The 1 ½” internal overflow located discreetly in the barrel is made of PVC piping, also known for its durability and endurance. Zinc-plated steel hardware is included and all fittings are welded to the barrels to ensure years of uncomplicated use.
